Engine London's ground-breaking new campaign for Santander uses user-generated content to form the bulk of the campaign assets in a first for the UK bank. 

By using footage organically created by real people, the bank aims to reflect the richness of everyday life and speak to customers in a more authentic way than could be achieved with a glossy, highly polished campaign.

The new campaign represents the public launch of Santander’s purpose: to help people and businesses prosper. The advertising explores what prosperity means for the bank’s retail customers, the businesses they work with and the communities they support, showcasing the Santander products and services that help them get a little bit more out of life.

Campaign video content – running across TV, DOOH, VOD and social – features a range of well-known memes and newly discovered clips. Hero TV spots will be supported with bespoke content for social media (including. Snapchat) and VOD which will use digital targeting to serve the most relevant content to the right people. Static media, including OOH and in branch materials, continue the user-generated feel, with natural shots capturing everyday moments.
