05TH JULY 2019

This year at ENGINE we celebrated Pride in London with all the colours of the rainbow!

We paid tribute to the 50 years of activism, protest and change that followed the Stonewall riots in 1969 that have achieved so much. We’re proud to be supporting Pride as much as we can, as this would have been inconceivable 50 years ago and something we should never take for granted.

But we want to do more than just celebrate and support, we want to continue to make a difference – through education, understanding and continuing to break down the walls.

So, on 5th July, ENGINE launched the start of our Year of Pride; a year of making a difference. Through a series of celebrations, talks and content we want to continue the conversation to ensure that Pride and the LGBT+ community in ENGINE are constant. We celebrate today, and we make a difference every day.

To launch our Year of Pride we have all sorts of great initiatives taking place:

- A Pride cake sale with all proceeds going to akt, a charity dedicated to building a world without LGBT+ youth homelessness

- A Pride Library, helping everyone learn and share experiences outside of their own, with books supplied by London’s independent LGBT+ Bookshop Gay’s the Word

- We showed our pride and support with Pride badges and boxes of goodies on each floor

We’ll be taking ideas from across the business as we plan talks, events and meet-ups with other LGBT teams across our client networks and the wider industry.

Next stop, Manchester Pride 23-26th August, so watch this rainbow -coloured space!
